SUSSEX BOROUGH LAND USE BOARD
PUBLIC NOTICE

On Monday evening September 14 at 7:30PM the Planning Board will be holding an informal fact gathering session at the Borough Hall. Any member of the public may attend that meeting and offer comments. Material regarding Area C is available at Borough Hall. Anyone who cannot attend the September 14th meeting can provide comments in writing for the Planning Board’s consideration.

Sussex Borough has designated certain properties as An Area In Need of Rehabilitation within the portion of the Borough now bounded by Route 23 Northbound and Southbound. This designation was established by the Borough Council in 2013. Subsequent to that designation, also in 2013, the Council adopted the Route 23 Redevelopment Plan for the entire Rehabilitation Area

The Borough Planning Board is now in the process of updating the Route 23 Redevelopment Plan and the primary focus of the update is an area that has been designated as “Area C”.  It is the intention of the Planning Board to prepare a detailed set of goals and objectives and design standards for this area and public input is needed and will be greatly appreciated. Area C includes properties north of Brookside Ave and south of the Sussex Inn, within the area bounded by Route 23 Northbound and Southbound.
