we will not be issuing the

until the work is complete.
BOROUGH OF SUSSEX
FIRE HYDRANT FLUSHING

The Sussex Borough Water Operator and DPW will flush the transmission and distribution mains of the potable water system
during the following weeks:

Monday, October 2nd through Friday, October 6th, 2017

And

Tuesday, October 10th through Friday, October 13th, 2017

The flushing will take place between the hours of 7:00 AM and 3:00 PM.

A temporary discoloration of the water and a decrease
in water pressure may be noted.
Water Department staff will be testing the water supply during the flushing operation to ensure water quality safety.

Clove Lake has been treated for algae and this has caused the algae to come to the surface. This condition will continue until such time that the wind or rain can push it over the dam. Due to the blanket of algae there are certain species of fish that will not survive.
